The MFG is a group of zoos, botanical gardens, and related organizations from around the world who are committed to action, and preserving Madagascar’s unique biodiversity and habitats. The group was established in 1988, in cooperation with the international conservationists, the Duke Lemur Center and the Malagasy government. Current managing members include the Lemur Conservation Foundation, the Saint Louis Zoo, Cologne Zoo, Duke Lemur Center, Missouri Botanical Gardens, Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens (USA), the San Diego Zoo, the San Antonio Zoo, Zoological Society of London, and Zoo Zürich.
