Meet Dr. Jeff Wyatt, Director of Animal Health and Conservation at the Seneca Park Zoo, Associate Professor at the University of Rochester, and member of the LCF Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Wyatt earned his DVM from The Ohio State University in 1982, completed a residency in laboratory animal medicine at the University of Rochester in 1986 and earned his MPH from the University of Rochester
School of Medicine in 1995. Dr. Wyatt is responsible for all aspects of the animal care program at the University of Rochester.
He travels to Ranomafana National Park to conduct scientific studies with Dr. Patricia Wright’s Institute for the Conservation of Tropical Environments, with the State University of New York Stony Brook.
Ranomafana National Park is in eastern Madagascar. It is a World Heritage Site and home to 11 species of lemurs.
It is the only known habitat for the Golden Bamboo Lemur.
